On Sunday, November 16, we’re hosting our 5th annual Kids Around the World OneMeal Packing Event where we’ll pack meals to help nourish children in Sierra Leone, West Africa. Click here to watch a highlight video from last year.

This event is core to who we are as a community which is why we’re hosting it on a Sunday morning as our Expression of worship. This partnership with Kids Around The World is an opportunity to invite guests to step into our community and feel the love, energy, joy and excitement of God’s people living on mission together for something bigger than themselves, and them getting to be a part of it. We’re creating a Hope Zone, not just in our church building but also in West Africa. When the people of Sierra Leone learn that the meals they received were not packed by a machine but by people who were thinking about and praying for them from around the world - there’s a realization that they are loved and cared for by someone else, opening the door to consider they are also loved by God.

This event is an important way for us to live out our mission of being an authentic community that makes Jesus fully known so others may fully know him! Please be praying for this event, and invite your friends to join us on Sunday, November 16 from 9:30am-12:30pm (lunch served at 11:30am). Children and youth will join us, so we will not have Missio Kids in the morning.

The Schedule
9:30-10:00am:  Meet in the sanctuary for info, instructions & prayer
10:00-11:30am:  Pack meals in the Community Hall & Lobby
11:30am-12:30pm:  Clean up & eat lunch

Get Involved
Everyone is invited to join in! There are two simple ways you can make a difference:
1.  Pack meals with us on November 16th.
2.  Turn your recycling into meals through the BottleDrop Blue Bag fundraising program.

Just grab a Blue Bag and instruction flyer from the lobby after our Sunday Expression, take it home, and fill it up with redeemable containers marked with OR10¢. The proceeds will go directly toward funding OneMeal packs.

This is also a wonderful opportunity—especially for families with kids—to practice loving our neighbors while learning how to care for the earth God has entrusted to us.
