We believe that spiritual formation is the continuing response to the reality of God’s grace shaping us into the likeness of Jesus Christ, through the work of Holy Spirit, in the community of faith for the sake of the world. This is what our calling is as disciples of Jesus and what we all really are to be aiming for – full transformation in our lives. It is God’s own work, through his Spirit, to bring about Jesus Christ’s character in us… so that others may come to fully know Christ too.

Kingdom Longings

We all have longings, and we all meet them in different ways. What we may not realize is that some of these longings go much deeper than a simple desire to get a decent job, or find a spouse. Our longings reflect the gap between our reality and the Kingdom of God to come. When we dig a little deeper, we can see our “Kingdom Longings,” which are the deep desires of our hearts that the Kingdom of God will one day fulfill. In our time together we will explore how longings are displayed in the Bible, our culture’s narratives, our own lives, and the world. In every cycle of this material, our focus is not simply on retaining cognitive information but changing the lens through which we see the world and live in it.

Evangelism

How do you feel when you hear the Great Commission that Jesus gave to his disciples? What do you think about this commission Jesus has given to his disciples and how we are to participate in it today? Together in this five-part cohort, we will be exploring the heart of evangelism, its impact on our discipleship and others’, and talk about how we can engage in spiritual conversations that meet people where they are while helping them to understand the good news of Jesus more clearly.
