For the past two years, we have been praying together, seeking God's wisdom, and trusting His faithfulness as we searched for the next Lead Pastor of our church. Throughout this season, we have witnessed God's provision and care for Missio in remarkable ways. By His grace, our church family has remained healthy, united, and growing as we have navigated this important transition together.
The Ministry Board is delighted to share that Dominic Abaria has accepted the call to serve as the next Lead Pastor of Missio Community.
Over the past several months, the Search Committee invested significant time in prayerfully discerning God's leading through interviews, conversations, and evaluation, ultimately recommending Dominic to the Ministry Board. The board then spent considerable time getting to know Dominic and his family, seeking further confirmation of God's direction. We were also blessed to host Dominic and his family on two Sundays, providing opportunities for them to get to know our church family and for many of you to hear Dominic preach and experience his heart for Jesus, His Word, and His Church.
We are deeply grateful for the clear and faithful way God has guided this process. Through prayer, discernment, meaningful conversations, and a shared sense of God's leading, we have experienced His hand at work every step of the way.
Dominic brings a deep love for the gospel, a passion for shepherding people, and a strong commitment to biblical teaching and discipleship. We are excited to welcome him, Jena, and their family as they join us for this next chapter in the life of Missio.
We also want to express our sincere gratitude to you, our church family. Thank you for your prayers, patience, generosity, service, and encouragement throughout this season. Your faithfulness has been a testimony to God's work among us. This transition has been marked by unity, hope, and trust in the Lord, and we believe He is continuing to lead us into a fruitful future together.
We are excited to officially welcome Dominic, June 7, during our Family Covenant Celebration, where we will gather to celebrate God's faithfulness and look ahead with anticipation to all He has in store for Missio.
Please continue to pray:
We are filled with gratitude for what God has done and great hope for what lies ahead.
With gratitude and hope,
Missio Ministry Board
