Men's Winter Cohort

When Jesus was asked what the greatest of all the commandments was, he quoted the book of Deuteronomy: “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the greatest and first commandment.” (Matthew 22:37-38). The most important thing a human being does is to love God. In this cohort, we will learn to fall (more) in love with the God Jesus knows through a combination of: 1) identifying false and true narratives about God in weekly reading, 2) doing short “soul training” exercises each week that help reinforce the biblical messages on your mind and heart, and 3) supporting each other as we go through this material in community.

Before the first meeting: Read chapter 1: “What are you Seeking” and read/do Soul Training “Sleep”.

What to do on your own during the week: Read the chapter for the week and think about the questions, then read/do the “Soul Training” for the week. Total reading is 20 pages or less per week. It is recommended to look at the soul training early in the week to make sure you have time to do the practice.
