On Saturday, Aug. 27 from 9 am-12 pm Missio will gather at schools throughout the Portland Public School District to serve our neighbors in a tangible way. We will work together on various outdoor projects (weeding, mowing, edging, painting, spreading bark chips, etc) to help beautify school campuses and prepare them for the upcoming school year. Part of the grace of Community Care Day is partnering with school communities and working alongside neighbors to see restoration and transformation happen in a wholistic way. As we physically labor to care for the school grounds and community, we get to build relationships and demonstrate God’s heart and desire to transform and renew all things through the life and love of Jesus.

To allow the Missio family more space to engage this act of worship and service to our city on Saturday, August 28, there will not be a Sunday Expression on August 28. Serving together on Saturday will be our expression of worship that week. Grab your gloves and your tools, and let’s have some fun together!

*If you are connected to a PPS school through your work or child’s attendance, we encourage you to participate in Community Care Day there (note: not all schools participate). If you are not naturally connecting to a PPS school please choose one of the Missio designated schools below:
