Serve Sunday at Neighborhood House

We’re kicking off our Summer Rhythms with a Serve Sunday on June 2 from 9:30-11:30am! As our expression of worship, we’ll be serving one of our community partners, Neighborhood House, by helping them with some much-needed projects in four of their locations:

Food Market
Deep cleaning the pantry

Admin Office Basement
Remove old electronics from an office; dispose of items in the Development closet

Senior Center
Remove boxes from a storage area

Housing Complex
Outdoor yard work (see details below)

Those who are serving at the Food Market, Admin Office and Senior Center will park at Multnomah Arts Center (7688 SW Capitol Hwy, Portland, OR 97219 - the back parking lot off SW 31st Ave. Click here to see a map) and gather in their courtyard where staff will assign you to a location to serve. Please bring some cleaning supplies with you. 

Those serving at the Housing Complex (Wise Transitions Apartments, 6552 SW 19th Ave, Portland OR 97239) will meet there to do outdoor yard work: mowing, trimming bushes, weeding, mulching, power washing, and planting some garden starts. We’ll need to coordinate bringing our own mowers and lawn tools for this site.
